Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress who is best recognized for her appearances in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Ever since her debut in 2003, she has demonstrated her ability in the role of actress with stunning performances on television shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. She was first noticed for her character Anna in 2005's film Assault on Precinct 13. The film was her role as Fannie Lou (a woman's advocate for women's the rights of women) in the biographical All the Way film that brought her fame as an actor. Hind has also been recognized for her role performed as Harriet Tubman within WGN America's historical drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the show will continue for an additional season. Recently Hind completed filming for the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters that is set for release by mid-2019. Her birthplace was in Mangalore in India. The father Krishnaraj was a Army scientist and died on the 18th of March, 2017. Her mother Vrinda works at home. Aditya is her elder brother, and is an engineer in the merchant navy. The brother of Bachchan wrote and produced Dil Ka Rishta, along with his mom. The actress was a student at Arya Vidya Mandir High School in Mumbai where her family had moved to. After finishing her studies for intermediate in Jai Hind College, she began her studies at D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga. She scored 90% in her H.S.C. exams. She took classical music classes as well as dance for five years throughout her teenage years. Her favourite topic was Zoology. Bachchan had been studying architecture, won the title of Miss World in the year 1994. The title helped her get into the world of modeling. The year 2003 was the time she received attractive jobs at PepsiCo Inc. as well as Vogue magazine. She also was offered a contract to be an L'Oreal Paris spokesmodel. Her acting career began well by being praised for her performances on Iruvar (1997) and Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya (1997). The success of Bachchan's New Bollywood was boosted by the fact that both of these films were a departure from the standard Bollywood model. Bachchan made her a queen of Bollywood through her performance as Paro the betrayed love of Paro in Devdas, (2002). Devdas was one of the most popular films in Bollywood. The film was also the first film to screen at the Cannes Film Festival. The film received a lot of praise for her role of Chokher Bali (2003) which was a dramatic drama based upon RabindranathTagore's novel. That same year, she was an the only Indian actress to join the Cannes Film Festival jury. Bachchan made an appearance in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice which is a musical and a ballet adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. This was the moment that Bachchan made her famous by bringing star power and beauty to her first major English-language film. In 2006, she returned to Bollywood with the hit film Dhoom: 2 before releasing Provoked: The True Story (2006). In April 2007, she got married Abhishek Bachchan who is a frequent co-star, and child of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that brought together two of India's greatest personalities.
